Your first week in Chemnitz
Register your address at the Bürgeramt within two weeks of moving in (with the landlord’s confirmation). Check which internet connections your building offers, register electricity and photograph the meter reading. One broadcasting fee (Rundfunkbeitrag) per flat – with BAföG you can apply for an exemption.
